How we collect your information

  1. Information collected at registration

 

WeFund4U, LLC collects personal information when you register with us and when you use our services. WeFund4U, LLC may combine this information about you with information we obtain from business partners or companies. During registration, we require members to give us basic contact information (such as your first name, last name and e-mail addresses), event information and demographic information (such as your ZIP or postal code). Registration information is collected via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol (https). The information requested on the registration form may change from time to time. Although additional demographic information may be requested at the time of registration, only information marked “required” is necessary for registration and utilization of our services.

Users who register through Facebook agree to share their public Facebook profile, friend list and e-mail address via Facebook’s App permissions interface.

Users who give to wefund4u.com members (“contributors”) are not required to register. However, some information is collected during the donation process, including first and last name and e-mail address. This information is associated with the member’s account. The e-mail address collected during the donation process is used by WeFund4U, LLC and the receiving wefund4u.com member to communicate with the contributor regarding their donation. It is not shared with third parties by wefund4u.com.

 

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

As an organization that serves students in public school classrooms, we take safety and privacy of children seriously. Our website is not meant to be used by children under the age of 13, unless with explicit parental consent. We follow the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older. We do not specifically market to children under 13.

 

 

  1. Information collected through use of Wefund4u.com

In addition to the questions you answer when you register for wefund4u.com’s membership, we collect information necessary to create your fundraising page. Personal information is collected via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol (https). When you enter this information and publish your fundraising/registry page, you agree to make it public and accessible by visitors to wefund4u.com. Note you are responsible for obtaining permission to publish your contact person’s information like name and telephone number.

WeFund4U, LLC also collects system information such as IP addresses (in other words, the location of your computer on the Internet) for system administration, troubleshooting, security, and to examine overall traffic trends. (For example, IP addresses help us determine the percentage of people coming from various search engines, such as Google or Yahoo!) This information, in aggregate form, is recorded for administrative purposes. IP addresses may be linked to personal account information for security purposes, for instance, to prevent spammers from abusing Wefund4u.com’s e-mail features.

WeFund4U, LLC and its partners use cookies, small data files stored on your computer, to customize portions of our site to your preferences and to analyze traffic trends on our site. For example, Wefund4u.com. uses a cookie to identify you as a WeFund4u.com member and to provide you with access to your personal account. This way, you don’t have to login every time you come to the WeFund4U website. If you do not allow your browser to accept cookies, please understand that some of the areas or functionality within our site may be limited.

You can browse the WeFund4u.com website without registering or providing any personal information. However, in order to take advantage of our fundraising service, you are required to provide us with information including but not limited to your name, e-mail address, real-world address, event date, and telephone number.

Information we collect from your membership helps us to make your wefund4u page available to your guests, improve our content, customize certain pages for you and make third-party payment systems available to you.

 

  1. With whom do we share information

WeFund4u.com does not share your personal information with third parties, except where reasonably necessary to provide you with site functionality including but not limited to third-party payment systems, to comply with law, comply with law, regulation or other governmental authority or to prevent harm to yourself or others. 11. User Request for Account and Data Deletion

User may request that their account and all of their data be deleted by emailing info@wefund4u.com and requesting such deletion. Please include your username and if you want all your data deleted. We will verify the account before deletion by sending a verification email to the users email address. The request will be processed with in 48 business hours.
